The third Global Anglican Future Conference, took place in Jerusalem during June, with an impressive 2,000 attendees taking part in this unique venture.
Planning and executing a conference of this caliber requires a high level of logistical coordination. Finding a suitable main venue for such a large group of people, while taking into account the need for breakouts is the first step needed. The Jerusalem International Convention Center in Jerusalem was the perfect setting for this convention, with its large number of halls and seminar rooms available.
An additional event of Prayer & Worship held at the Southern Steps meant planning and building a stage, arranging seating and setting up audio equipment.
The next steps were booking hotel rooms for all 2,000 participants, arranging transportation upon arrival, departure, as well as sightseeing, and arranging meals.
Timing is essential with a group this large so as to ensure that everyone arrived where they were supposed to and when, and that events would begin on time.
